I've been talking about writing a blog for some time, but have hesitated on the thought of being open about the ups and downs of my journey. I have my own journal I like to write on and although I enjoy the privacy, I also feel compelled to share my medical school journey in the hopes I may be of help or inspiration to someone.
Today I took a test on what specialties would be most fitting for me. One of the questions was are you a talker or a doer. I sat there for a bit and really asked myself what that question meant. Truth is, I sometimes talk more about my ideas than put them into action. We only truly make an impact on our world when we take our ideas outside our heads and actually make an effort to make them tangible. Yup so that test inspired this blog and I am putting my idea into action!
Writing is an outlet for me to process my thoughts when life gets overwhelming. Medical school isn't easy, but it is so worth it. I love learning and the thought of almost becoming a doctor is exhilarating! The blog will be mostly about my journey in the island of Dominica as I finish my 2 years of basic sciences at Ross University. I find this island absolutely stunning and will also share some photographs of the beauty that is the "Nature Island."
